I found this nice way to categorise my new-found and updated interests and note-worthy happening around and about me. Oh and I couldn't put this in any, maybe miscellaneous, but I like typing in Hindi and get sudden urges to translate what I'm saying to French.

Obama news
A lot happening right now, and I'm following it religiously as always. But I know you guys don't like reading Obama, but now it looks like he's got a chance. Only last month I believed that despite all the hype, in the end, the average (pea-brained) American (EDIT: I never said this.) wouldn't like to take a risk and will go for McCain. But I just got my hopes high!
Oh and Sarah Palin sucks, I thought it was obvious (read the Interview by Katie Couric of CBS News transcript and you'll know).

The Convention and all that Jazz

Well, don't expect an analysis or summary of Barack Obama's Acceptance Speech just as yet. I missed it on the television, so I just watched it and I loved it. I'll probably write about it over the next few days, but it remains one of the best speeches I've come across. No outright criticism, clear policies, straight talk and a genuine desire for change. And add to that a mind-boggling stadium with 84,000 people, wow.

You really got to hear it or at least read it.

And there's this recent commercial from John McCain that goes on to "blast the Obama children for smiling and giggling but refusing to state their position on offshore oil drilling."

Sheesh.

Long time, no see

Well well well, look who's here. It's been a very long time since I last wrote. Numerous note-worthy events have taken place since, and have remained uncovered by me.

Some of them being, the Democrats Convention, dropping off my sister to Princeton University, New Jersey. It's a beautiful place. My long tresses being chopped off to much agony and astonishment and having my classmates dressed up in Indian dresses including me in a malayali sari.

And oh yeah, I'm in New Jersey right now. Yeah yeah, I'm worried sick about all the school work I'm missing, but I think I'm up to it. Having studied meager portions before-hand and having vowed to study the rest later, I was happily flown to east side of USA a week ago, nearly 15,000km away from my bedroom back home.

I'm at my cousins' place right now in Montgomery County, getting regular updates from my friends back home about school. The ones I talked to (actually just two of them) claim to be missing me dearly. And you know what? I believe them.

Anyhow, I know I shouldn't really be writing now, but it's better than doing a web page using only HTML for your computer Internal Assessment grades, right? Which reminds me, I've discovered some mighty great sportsmen besides Rafael Nadal, after the Beijing Olympics. Michael Phelps, phew. I'll save some effort and not elaborate. Everyone knows, you've seen him, you've read him, and it's hard to believe him. Hail him. Then again, Nastia Liukin isn't too bad either.

I haven't toured around much of this place yet, so can't tell you much about it either. The roads are good, and so are the cars, the cheapest here is the Camry. The racial diversity is interesting.

I'm getting a lot to eat here and I'm watching the Convention on television most of the time.

The primary season has finally come to an end, Obama is finally the Democrats' Presidential nominee.

We are for change!!!!!!!!

Even if you aren't an Obamatier, you really ought to see this video of his acceptance speech he gave in St. Paul, Minnesota. The crowd says it all, really.

This nominee is for my grandmother, who poured everything she had into me, and made me the man I am today.

6. Harry Potter. Very close to my heart. Joanne Rowling taught me love, friendship and valor. I'm not afraid to face death in case of a Voldemort type situation and it’s made me better prepared (hopefully) to lose my loved ones.

7. Things that I begin. The Words and Beyond Club, for instance. Perhaps a lame theme for a gathering, it remains my object of affection and sincerity. Sometimes I surprise myself about how seriously I take it and passionately I stand up for it. I guess it will take more than disheartening critics, jeering members and detached teachers to stop me.

8. Discussing World politics and economy however little I know. There’s still so much to learn and read about! I like to converse with my Dad on things like the depreciation value of the dollar, recession, democracy, motives behind the Bombay Sock Exchange like it is (my dad does most of the talking, and I do the listening), Barack Obama, Barack Obama and some more Barack Obama.
